Highlights
Tecno Spark 20 looks very close to an iPhone on the backside with its more precise, finer camera cutout and an upgraded minimal look and texture. Some of you may like it and some of you may not like it. We leave it up to you. The design altogether looks neat and clean with a punch-hole screen and a dynamic notification bar around the hole. If you like this kind of design, this is surely a good option at the time of its release. There is an IP53 dust/splash resistant feature, and the body is made of plastic. Its screen has no protection.
A 6.6-inch 720 x 1612 pixels HD+ screen IPS LCD screen is offered, which is a clear downside for this price. You’ll get many phones with a higher resolution Full HD+ screen. There is a 90Hz refresh rate option. Screen brightness is average and you may struggle a bit with visibility under direct sunlight. We have seen plenty of image samples from different reviews with its cameras. The 50 MP primary lens can deliver sharp and bright shots in good daylight. But you may notice a bit of warmly processed skin tones and ambient that lack depth and vibrancy of colors. Night mode works fine with a good amount of details and reduced noise. Portrait shots are also fine. Video recording option is up to 1080p@30fps without any stabilization. Here we have noticed slightly washed out colors and lack of focus sometimes, similar to the image quality. The 32 MP selfie camera has a good amount of clarity and details, but color tones look warm and processed and lacks depth like the rear camera. It’s still adequate, but you’ll find some better cameras around this price.
